GUESTHOUSE SANTE

A Special Time Away from Everyday Life

Private Traditional Japanese House in Susaki, Kochi

Message from the Owner

A Second Home Blending into Susaki's Daily Life & Local Culture

Thank you for visiting Guesthouse Santé. I am Yoshihiro Nishina, the owner.

Santé is a 60-year-old traditional Japanese house originally cherished by a local grandmother. Facing the possibility of becoming an empty home over time, I took over its operation to breathe new life into this historical space.

Living a dual-region life between Tokyo and Susaki, I remain deeply captivated by Susaki's rich nature, delicious local sake, and warm-hearted people. Beyond typical tourist attractions, this town is alive with comfortable daily routines and a vibrant local culture (such as jazz events and strong community bonds).

Our Philosophy of "Comfortable Distance"
At Santé, we offer a completely private space where families and groups of friends can feel at ease renting out the whole house.
We do not provide overly intrusive hospitality. Within the nostalgic warmth of this traditional home, you can stay up late chatting with friends or step out for a casual drink in town. Our top priority is providing a "free and luxurious private space" where you can experience the culture and lifestyle of Susaki at your own pace.

Staying at this house is more than just lodging—it is an opportunity to preserve a historical space in Susaki and participate in the town's fresh flow of life.

We invite you to relax and enjoy the genuine, unpretentious daily life and local culture of Susaki.
